/dev/grrl is a non-founding member of Jackpoint and a student at NeoNet Boston High School. She is a hacker and known associate of "Pistons". Some of her contributions to the shadowfiles on Jackpoint she wrote originally as pieces of homework for school. She started using the matrix directly after the Crash 2.0 at an very young age of eight. Her parents are both NeoNET Execs and she started working in the shadows at an age of 14 (besides school).

Also she's an underage elven girl and in 2072 just 16 years old, she claims to have visited the travelling town of Karavan in Central Asia in person.

In two of her posts to the "Attitude" file she showed an irritating insight to the BTL scene. Later she wrote the "Safehouses"-Shadowfile on the request of Fastjack.

In an effort to be taken seriously by Bull and Slamm-o, she successfully hunted and caught Kane, although she did not turn him in for a bounty.
