Alamais is a male Great Western Dragon who is reported to be Lofwyr's brother. He has golden scales (similar to Lofwyr) that darken to red along his spine. He has a scar in the center of his chest. He has an interest in European policlubs, especially those of Germany. In the past, he has dealt with Der Nachtmachen and Alte Welt[1]. He is a tenacious and powerful dragon; he was hit by an orbital laser (potentially owned by Russia, Ares, or Fuchi), and lived.[2] He maintained a low profile immediately after the incident, and was rumored to be dead for a few years afterward - notably, at the time of Dunkelzahn's death, these rumors were still current.

Relationship with other Dragons[]

Alamais's main goals centered around a rivalry with Lofwyr, and rumors claimed that he was involved in Lofwyr losing his seat in the Tir Tairngire Council. This would match Alamais's usual methods: while Lofwyr's preferred instruments were corporations, Alamais preferred to use policlubs and underground organizations as his pawns.

Alamais and Dunkelzahn had a more friendly relationship, though possibly something of a rivalry as well. They played an elaborate game of "tag" for over thirty years, testing each other's resources by delivering each other a fruitcake on Christmas. Alamais was therefore mentioned with this rather humorous bequest in Dunkelzahn's Will:

"To Alamais, I leave the fruitcake we have exchanged every Christmas since 2020. Unlike you, I’m really dead."

Death[]

November 5-6, 2074: Lofwyr launched an attack on Alamais's GeMiTo compound with overwhelming force. The attackers included armored fighting vehicles, air support, over a thousand metahuman mercenaries and shadowrunners, twenty adult dragons, and the Great Dragons Lung and Arleesh. Metahuman shadowrunners score the killing blow on Alamais at approximately 1006 on November 6. Thirty-eight Dragons besides Alamais died in the battle.[3]

Inconsistencies[]

The date of Lofwyr's attack and Alamais's death is unclear. It occurred in either November 5-6 2074[3] or early spring 2075[4].
