Today it was announced that the Harebrained Schemes team will be making a stand-alone game titled; Shadowrun: Hong Kong. The Kickstarter campaign has already exceeded it's goal of 100k in less than two hours!
Here is the description from their kickstarter page; "A Shadowrun cyberpunk cRPG set in 2056's Magically Awakened Hong Kong by the developers of Shadowrun Returns & Dragonfall."

Right, so I do some of these things in character every so often because, honestly, why not? It's fun to be creative and use the perspective of someone else. Take it with a grain of salt, but I sometimes see things people miss. I could just ask a question, but what would the fun in that be when there's a possibility of sparking something interesting?

After a less than impressive outing on the Xbox 360 and PC, Shadowrun Returns has arrived on PC courtesy of a successful Kickstarter campaign and rabid fans eager to see a true follow up to the beloved SNES and Genesis games.The first reviews are in, and we've gathered them here to help you decide if the game is worth $19.99 (Spoiler alert: it looks like it is).

Game news outlets are reporting today that the release date for Shadowrun Returns has been confirmed as July 25 for Windows (via Steam) and Mac, as well as iOS and Android tablets. What's more, Harebrained Schemes is not only including an editing tool (as promised), but all files for the game's entire campaign.

This folder of progress journals includes videos taken by on-site staff during phase one testing back in 2058.
Fetal clones were fabricated using advanced nanomachinery techniques, and then placed within hermetically-sealed incubation pods. Cellular growth was accelerated within the clones using latent mitosis expressors, forcing the clones to mature at an accelerated rate.
99% of the clones that are fabricated within the first year of production suffer from severe mental development complications due to the lack of mental stimulation during the maturation process.
It is unknown how many first-generation clones were produced in 2058.
