The Blood Mountain Boys is a gang based in the Seattle sprawl.
The Blood Mountain Boys are a go-gang which claims almost all of Route 169.[1] The gang is an "urban-primitive" type of gang. Members willingly underwent scarification, dress in leather, and display tribal tattoos and permanent "warpaint". They earn money by running errands for various syndicates and smuggling alcohol, BTLs, and drugs. While they may get wasted on drugs and alcohol, use of BTLs are forbidden in the gang.[2] Due to the tribal nature of the gang, they attract a higher than average number of the Awakened.[3]
The Blood Mountain Boys were almost crippled by a series of raids by Knight Errant in 2074-2075, resulting in the arrests or executions (on flimsy excuses) of BMB leaders by the police. In the aftermath, the survivors went quasi-underground, heavily recruiting from the disenfranchised and rebellious youth of Renton. They've replaced the war paint that they were famous for but made them easily to identify with colorful "war masks" (ballistic masks which are both full-faced and customized).[4]
