Horrors are a fictional intelligent demon-like species.

Horrors live on a far, strange metaplane and are unable to reach reality until the mana level has grown enough and they can get into real world and astral plane.

They feed on emotions of sentinent species like humans, elves, dwarves, orks, trolls and even dragons; especially on the negative ones like fear, pain and doom. In most cases they try to inflict this actively to their victims, uncaring if they may destroy complete civilisazions.

During the Fourth World (i. e. Earthdawn setting) they were rampant, nearly destroying metahumanity. The imortal elves and great dragons haven't forgotten that and so try to eliminate mana spikes which would allow the Horrors to attack earlier then they must.

They are the great danger to come for the world of Shadowrun.
