The Krewes are a type of gang indigenous to the city of New Orleans.
The Krewes are local outfits, some of which are voodoo posses which are led by a voodoo houngan. Odds are higher than average they will have Awakened members compared to other gangs. Some of the voodoo posses are under the control of the Zobop syndicate.
While some of the krewes have gotten into the vice rackets, most of the krewes buy from the Mafia rather than from smuggling networks. They handle the street-level pimping and chip dealing for the Mafia.
The krewes are small time in the criminal hierarchy of New Orleans. Krewes are everywhere in New Orleans and are kind of like the large, powerful gangs in other cities. Many of the krewes are into talislegging and some of them are into vice and supplying bodies. The krewes are at least as vicious as the Seoulpa Rings, likely more. [1]
