A popular stopover for smugglers traveling the route from Minneapolis to Chicago, Madison is considered one of the more relaxing hidey-holes in scenic Wisconsin.
Capitol of the UCAS state known for it's anti-establishment attitudes, Madison is known as the most liberal-minded city in all of the United Canadian American States. Home to the University of Wisconsin, this atmosphere of education combined with its recent economic decline has actually given rise to an active Non-Metahuman Sapient Rights movement. It's for this reason, as well as the popular Infected Studies courses at UW Madison, that it is not uncommon at all to meet Ghouls, Vampires, Sasquatches, or other "undesirable" sentients in the city.
And on top of all that, the city is filled with various microbreweries that serve good old fashioned beer.
