The Moscow Vory are the Vory syndicates based in the city of Moscow in Russia.
The Moscow Vory are the defacto leaders of the Russian syndicates from St. Petersburg next to the Baltic Sea to Vladivostok by the Sea of Japan. Increasingly the Vorys of the Caucasus and Turkestan are being rebellious. The influence of Moscow extends to the Vory across Europe.[1]
Moscow's and therefore the country's most powerful Vory is an Avtoritet, a former Caspian oil driller (Andrei Petschukov).[2] He is the leader of the "Red" Vory and has being the leading crimelord in Russia since the reign of Boris Kropunin in 2026.[3][4] Recently the Moscow Vory were unsuccessful in holding the line against the Alta Commissione and lost ground across all of central Europe. Now Moscow is focusing on the Pacific Rim.[5]
