The Tachypus (Antilocapra celeriter) is the Awakened form of the pronghorn (Antilocapra americana). It is smaller than its progenitor, but significantly faster, with the ability to leap great distances and heights. Its coat is light brown, with shading to white on the belly, with a broad brown stripe down the spine.
Unlike its progenitor, the tachypus is a carnivore, with rows of sharp teeth in its jaws. It hunts jackrabbits and other small mammals using its incredible speed. It can reach up to 120 kilometers per hour on short sprints. It is a solitary hunter, and tends to avoid metahumanity in the wild using its great speed and agility.
The tachypus is found throughout the plains of central and southwest North America.
