Here's an example of an error in the book. Bison bonasus, or wikipedia:Wisent, never died out. They were endangered, but they are still around - in the wild and and in the zoos (mostly in Poland). --Piotrus 23:55, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
Wisent v aurochs[]
The error seems to be FASA's use of the wrong taxnomy. The wisent (bison bonasus) is indeed still alive and kicking. The aurochs (bos primigenius[1]), however, did go extinct in 1627. FASA just conflated the two species of bovine.
